Dillon Nettles, a native of the state of Alabama, joined the ACLU of Alabama in 2018 as Policy Analyst. In this role, Dillon manages the ACLU’s legislative portfolio and engagement with lawmakers and other public officials. In addition, Dillon is responsible for providing strategic guidance on policy/advocacy initiatives, campaigns, and communications. Prior to joining the ACLU, Dillon focused on public education policy and community engagement strategy in the Montgomery community. He founded Foreword South in 2017, a digital platform dedicated to telling the stories of transformational game changers in the Deep South, past and present.
Dillon has been recognized as a Clinton Global Initiative alumnus, New Profit Millennial Impact Fellow, and Digital Leaders Fellow by Students for Education Reform.
