Werk The Lege Virtual Session - May 1: Censorship and the Classroom

Summary

In a series of virtual Zoom sessions, our team will highlight and present on topics that matter to Alabamians. In our April 10 session, we will discuss censorship when it comes to classrooms.

Werk The Lege is a legislative advocacy training program for everyday Alabamians who want to learn about and engage in Alabama’s legislative process. In a series of virtual Zoom sessions, our team will highlight and present on topics that matter to Alabamians.

This session's topic is, "Censorship and the Classroom", and is being led by ACLU of Alabama Legal Director, Tish Gotell-Faulks. During this mini-session, you can expect a quick 15-minute primer about the scheduled topic and 15 minutes to ask any questions that may arise.

Throughout this shared learning experience, we will center the work and expertise of organizers and advocates leading the fight for criminal legal reform, voting rights, and gender justice.
