This week, I attended the Alabama Joint Prison Oversight Committee meeting, where the families of currently incarcerated people shared firsthand accounts of violence, neglect, corruption, and preventable deaths inside ADOC facilities.

Pride in Alabama is more than a celebration; it’s a testament to a community that has endured, grown, and continues to fight for equality.
