• The ACLU works to protect the rights and liberties of immigrants by challenging the Trump administration’s family separation policy, its Muslim ban, and its treatment of asylum seekers. Hear the stories of people who came to this country seeking safety and a new life and from those who are fighting for immigrants’ rights.

• America is in the grip of a mass incarceration crisis. We lock up more people than any other nation in the world. Learn how states can turn this around and reduce the damage done to families and communities.
• Voting rights have come under attack across the country. States have passed laws that have made it harder for people of color, the elderly, students, and people with disabilities to cast a ballot. Experience an interactive exhibit about the many barriers erected throughout American history to prevent people from voting.

• 10:00 am - 1:00: I Am More Than Tours: Creating Art & Changing Culture - An interactive program with Michelle Browder of I Am More Than Tours that bridges creative art, Alabama’s history of civil rights, and the conversation around racial reconciliation.
• 11:30p – 12:00p: Lunch, provided by That’s My Dog Jr., the nation’s first teen run restaurant located in North Montgomery.
• 12:00pm – 12:45pm: The People for Social Justice Career Panel - A conversation with local heroes currently working in civil rights. Panelists will include staff from ACLU of Alabama, Southern Poverty Law Center, Equal Justice Initiative, and other organizations working toward social justice in Alabama.
• 4:00pm – 5:00pm: Arts of the Resistance Pop-Up - A pop-up exhibit with protest art from The Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice and Adelante Alabama curated by 21 Dreams Arts & Culture Collective.
• 5:00p – 8:00p: Vibes & Sounds by DJ Meek of 97.9 Jams!
• 5:30p – 6:30p: Women on the Frontlines: Meeting the Challenge of Voter Suppression - Dr. Felicia Bell, director of Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum, will moderate a conversation led by women leading grassroots efforts to restore voting and overturn voter suppression measures in the South such as cuts to early voting, voter ID laws, and purges of voter rolls.
