Demand lawmakers hold a vote on the Women's CARE Act.
Join us in calling on the Alabama House of Representatives to hold a vote on the Women's CARE Act, HB54! This bill would provide protections for incarcerated pregnant individuals by allowing them to serve a pre-incarceration probation until 12 weeks postpartum before surrendering to serve their sentence.
Ask lawmakers to vote YES on SB24
Join us in calling on all Alabama Legislators to vote YES on the voting rights restoration bill, SB24! This bill would create a clearer, more standardized pathway for restoring voting rights for people who lost them due to a conviction. It requires the Board of Pardons and Paroles and the Secretary of State to jointly develop and publish plain-language instructions and an electronic application for a Certificate of Eligibility to Register to Vote.
Restoring voting rights is a critical step toward successful reentry and a more inclusive democracy.
