Join the ACLU of Alabama and TKO Society for a Black History Month community check-in for Black queer and trans folks. This virtual gathering is a chance to connect, check in with one another, and be in community. There will be spoken word, open conversation, and space to engage in whatever way feels right to you. We'll also share ways to stay connected and get involved!

Join a group of Alabama Reproductive Justice advocates at the Statehouse to lobby for comprehensive sex education and call for legislators to oppose SB3, the abstinence only sex education bill. DEADLINE to Register is January 31, 2025 so our organizers have time to adequately support participants with travel, hotel, food, and any accessibility needs.

Join us for a day of service in Selma and let's pour into the community that has given so much to Alabama! The ACLU of Alabama and JGS Construction are coming together for a day of service the day before the Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee. Join us on Saturday, March 7 to assist with home repair for a Foot Soldier in the Selma, AL community. If you plan to attend, we recommend: Wearing protective clothing, including long pants, work gloves, and sturdy, thick-soled shoes. JGS Construction will have some extra gloves as well. Bringing a face mask to protect yourself from dust and debris (ACLU of Alabama will provide face masks). Using sunscreen and insect repellant. Bringing water and snacks (ACLU of Alabama will be providing water and lunch) Round-trip transportation from Montgomery will be provided, but seating is limited. March with us in Selma! Members of ACLU of Alabama staff will be traveling to Selma, Alabama for the 61st Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee, and we are inviting you to ride with us.
