HB363 would create a new criminal offense, “disruption of a worship service.” Under the bill, a person will commit the offense if they enter a church building or church property with the intent to disrupt a scheduled worship service and then engage in certain conduct.

This bill would allow a person who is incarcerated to attend their parole hearing virtually.

SB209 would require any sex education or human reproductive curriculum in public K-12 schools to exclusively teach “sexual risk avoidance” and encourage abstinence from all sexual activity.

HB168 amends Alabama’s loitering statute, which currently includes “being masked” while loitering, remaining, or congregating in a public place as an offense.

HB270 would create an in-person early voting option for general and special elections (excluding municipal elections), beginning with the November 2028 General Election.

HB14 proposes a constitutional amendment to allow Alabama citizens to propose general laws and constitutional amendments through a ballot initiative process.

SB24 creates a clearer, more standardized pathway for restoring voting rights for people who lost them due to a conviction.

HB45 updates Alabama’s absentee voting laws to allow a voter with a disability to designate an individual to hand-deliver the voter’s absentee ballot application to the absentee election manager.

SB99/HB216 would require local boards of education to display the Ten Commandments and a context statement in U.S. history classrooms in grades 5-12 and in school common areas where students grade 5 and above are served.
