The ACLU of Alabama, the Knights and Orchids Society (TKO Society), and the Black Belt Community Foundation are coming together for a day of service.
Despite years of overcrowding, violence, and abuse in Alabama’s prisons, highlighted last year in a scathing Department of Justice report and exacerbated by the current COVID-19 pandemic, state officials have done little to alleviate these conditions.
Here is a list of all the statewide marches against the abortion ban. All marches are currently scheduled for Sunday, May 19. For those outside of Alabama, find a sister march near you (or start your own!) at People Power.
Come join POWER House, Yellowhammer Fund, and ACLU of Alabama as we protest Alabama’s upcoming total abortion ban. We will be protesting regardless of the Senate vote on Tuesday.
